The PRCD-S is a circuit-breaking portable residual current protection device with electronic fault current evaluation (PRCD = Portable Residual Current Device; S = safety) in the form of an intermediate cord device. It is particularly suitable as a safety distributor for all portable electrical equipment.
The PRCD-S detects the interference voltage on the protective conductor. However, the PRCD-S does not interrupt the protective conductor connection. The interference voltage can therefore isolate itself via its own upstream FI and LS protection devices.
Equipped with 2 m (1.5 m upstream of switch and 0.5 m downstream of switch) of sulphur yellow extremely flexible special rubber cable H07RN-F3G2.5 in acc. with DIN VDE 0282.
