Once upon a time:
When generators did not yet have built-in electronics, we used asynchronous generators to produce so-called "clean" electricity, and synchronous generators to overcome "difficult starts".

With DUPLEX technology, the electronic controller individually switches between the two drive systems according to needs, thus protecting the motor from overload.
